Pia ÖstI like to work with complete entities, see what is missing and fill the voids. The working day is the greatest source of inspiration, and my immediate surroundings play a crucial role in the design process. Since 2000 I have been working with my own designs, usually ceramics, furniture and textiles. Design is a combination of simplicity and functionality where each part, from initial idea to production, is of equal importance. Whatever I do must be clear and distinctive; I will not rest until I can see how all the parts in the design fit together. Perhaps a thought that a boring product can be made a little bit funnier, that an everyday product can get the touch of vanity or the thought of creating a product we did not even know we missed.
Then we ask designers at Juthbacka cultural center to make a product out of our thoughts.
Together we create a Hops-product.

Simlpe design and bright colours, thats my philosophy! Continue to the shop Malin KlingenbergI have always enjoyed the imaginative, both when it comes to words and images. In my creations I want to make room for colourful joy as well as unaffected serenity. The world is filled with shapes and stories, and keeping my eyes open for ideas in everything I see is challenging yet stimulating. It feels rewarding when my products find their way to satisfied users. Continue to the shop Linda AndtbackaOld handicraft traditions inspire me, but I try to find my own ways and expressions. So the traditional wirework technique gets a new artistic idiom with clean, stylized lines and everything from romantic to playful features.
The steel wire also inspires me as a material. It is raw, cold and hard but has a clean, soft feature which opens up to unlimited possibilities. The combination of reused details like old buttons and woolen fabrics creates intriguing encounters. Continue to the shop Print shopIn Print-shop your empty walls are exactly what we care about. Studying design, years at home with my children and a strong resolve to collect retro materials have all contributed to the birth of my own collection of garments. As a home-based mother I turn old items into new creations.
The whole process from looking for suitable materials to achieving the end product is both exciting and inspiring, and rightly so! It is a sheer pleasure to work with recycled materials. And what is more, the process is friendly to the environment.
Continue to the shop Inger PåvallBecoming a jewellery designer was no obvious choice for me. However, courses in silversmith’s work offered the chance to develop my growing creativity, and my interest in idiom and craft became predominant. It then led to studies of precious metal at the polytechnic Yrkesinstitutet Sydväst.
In the workshop are every day items created, giving the ideas form and shape. In connection to the workshop is the exhibition room, where there is space both for sale and creative meetings. I make- I live!
